Authorities in Hoover are investigating a homicide after a person was found dead this evening, according to Captain Gregg Rector with Hoover Police.
Hoover Police received a call around 7:12 p.m. about a shooting near the office of Elevation Hoover Apartments on the 2200 block of Little Valley Road, according to police. Officers arrived at 7:14 to discover an unresponsive male lying in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police tell CBS 42 News that the victim is an 18-year-old male who lived in the complex, and that they believe the victim knew the shooter, who fled in an unknown vehicle.
